$85.00

Instructor: Roiana Buckmaster

Time of Class: 9 am to noon on Saturday, March 28

Have you ever looked at the big looms and wondered if weaving was for you? This class is your chance to find out! We will use a Mini Inkle Loom to explore weaving with a simple heddle system to create a warp-faced fabric that will introduce you to some of the principals used in weaving on any loom. You will learn to warp your loom, tie heddles, create 2 different sheds to pass the shuttle through, how to make your edges tidy and how to begin and end your project.

About the Instructor: Roiana Buckmaster lives in Mt Pleasant, TN, working a small farm with her husband to build a registered flock of Icelandic Sheep. She was given knitting needles at age six (to keep out from underfoot), embroidery at ten (to sit still), and plunged into the rabbit hole of the fiber arts world from there. Roiana has been teaching for 12 years, both at fiber festivals across the South and Mid-West and at the shop on the farm. She attributes her skills to Grandma Irene, and she promised to teach those skills to others.
