Learn how to “paint with wool” in this beginner needle felting workshop. Students will learn how to layer and attach wool to a linen fabric backing to make this “grazing sheep” landscape. These techniques can be applied to other flat need felting projects. Tools and finger guards will be available for use during the class. We will also cover needle felting basics such as terminology, where to find needle felting inspiration and support and where to source the best supplies.

About the Instructor: Elizabeth Whitton is a mompreneur who turned her love of wool into a thriving family-run needle felting business called Felted Sky. She and her husband have managed the business together full time since 2019. Elizabeth enjoys teaching through her kits, in person and online. Her needle felting tutorials have over 400k views on YouTube. Her work has been featured in Better Homes and Gardens, Do It Yourself magazine and on the Etsy blog. She has been teaching needle felting for 11 years at a variety of fiber festivals, schools, local yarn shops, and maker spaces. She loves that she is able to promote stress-relief, creativity and joy through needle felting.
