Come learn to spin! Basic introduction to drop spindle spinning, no previous experience needed. Students will learn about drop spindles and have hands-on practice spinning on a drop spindle. Students will leave with the wooden drop spindle they have been working with in class, an assortment of fiber to continue their spinning journey, and yarn they have spun.

Skill Level: No prior knowledge or experience required.

Age Requirements: Ages 18 and up.

Supplies to Bring: Instructor will provide a drop spindle and fiber for each student. Student will take the drop spindle home at end of class.

About the Instructor:  Amanda Roberts of Wild Hair Studio is a shepherd, fiber artist, and author. Wild Hair Studio encompasses her small farm where she raises Romealdale/CVM sheep, an endangered American Heritage breed and crossbred sheep and her fiber studio. In her fiber studio she creates and offers a selection of batts, tops, rovings, and rolags in her studio as well as heritage quality finished items and hand decorated fiber tools. She has years of spinning, felting, dyeing and shepherding experience she brings to her classes and projects.
