From rolags to roving, batts (and more!), learn how to make the most of this space-efficient, affordable carding/blending tool, as Debbie explains the secrets to unlocking the board’s carding power. Students will leave class with the fiber they’ve prepared, as well as a whole new appreciation for the versatile blending board. The instructor supplies a slew of fibers and mix-ins.

Supplies to bring with you: Your own blending board and any accessories it came with, plus a diz if you have one. Instructor supplies all other supplies. There is one (1) blending board available for in-class loan, so please get in touch with the instructor if you need to borrow it during class. (Available on a first-come, first-served basis.)

About the Instructor: Debbie Held is a freelance writer and international fiber arts educator. She’s a recurring contributor to Spin Off magazine and its blog, PLY Magazine, the SweetGeorgia blog, and more, and she’s also the writer behind the Interweave column, Her Handspun Habit. Debbie is a spinning instructor for the School of SweetGeorgia and teaches courses throughout the U.S. and abroad. Her second book, The Blending Board Bible is due out in the winter of 2025 from Stackpole Publishing.
